The Love Island USA Aftersun host, 33, shared with fans that she had been for a routine smear test as she encouraged them to also make appointments.
Sharing a snap from insider her appointment, Maura wrote: ‘Smear test day! This is your important reminder to get yours [praying hands]’.
It was previously reported that I’m A Celebrity bosses had set their sights on Maura after boxer Tommy Fury withdrew at the last minute.
ITV were now eyeing up Molly-Mae’s best friend Maura, 33, to take his place in the jungle, with bosses banking on the Irish beauty to spill the beans about her pal.
A source told The Sun: ‘With Tommy Fury pulling out it gave show bosses the opportunity to look at other Love Island stars and Maura stood out as the perfect candidate.
‘She’ll bringing a bit of glamour to the jungle and make a brilliant campmate because she’s got a great sense of humour and is bound to get on with everyone.
‘It’s shaping up to be a strong year for woman on I’m A Celebrity this year.’

It was previously reported that I’m A Celebrity bosses had set their sights on Maura after boxer Tommy Fury withdrew at the last minute
With Tommy out of the running, it was said to have paved the way for Maura’s appearance on the show as it meant that there wouldn’t be two stars from the 2019 series of the famous dating show in the jungle.
Sharing her preparations for her jungle appearance, earlier this week Maura posted an Instagram Story having a toe nails painted at a salon.
The TV presenter wasn’t the only potential camp mate preparing for their arrival with beauty treatments, as Coleen Rooney and Tulisa also had beauty treatments.
On Tuesday, Coleen looked incredible as she stepped out in Hale on Tuesday ahead of jetting off to Australia.
The WAG, 38, was clearly gearing up for the hit ITV show as she showcased her glowing looks by wearing minimal makeup for the outing.
Her outing came hours after her reported campmate Tulisa revealed the shocking results of her latest cosmetic procedure.
The N-Dubz singer, 36, took to her Instagram stories to share that she has had the outline of her lips tattooed and they were looking pretty swollen.
Showcasing the finished look to her followers, the hitmaker penned: ‘I tatted the lips to match the brows, couldn’t help myself.’

She went on to clarify that they are ‘swollen’ at the moment but ‘they will go down and the colour will tone down’.
Finally, she tagged the clinic, which is based in Altrincham, Cheshire, writing: ‘@cosmetic_tattoo_clinic loving this & brows have held sooooo well’.
It looks like Tulisa will be bringing glamour to the jungle, as she flaunted her already-tattooed eyebrows and long eyelash extensions in the short video.
Earlier in the day, she was seen preparing for the camping experience as she got her nails done for the final time at Skylar Nails in Alderly Edge.
Meanwhile Maura Higgins looked to also be prepping for the jungle as she shared an Instagram Story having a toe nails painted at a salon on Tuesday.
Celebrities are not allowed to take makeup into the jungle with any cosmetic products regarded as contraband.
And Coleen and Tulisa aren’t the first stars to prep for the jungle after Katie Price famously had her hair put into cornrows for the show back in 2004.
Meanwhile in 2022, Charlene White admitted she had beauty treatments done before entering the camp as she prepared to go makeup free.

She said: ‘As you can see I have had my hair done, I have had my brows done, they are still a bit sore. I have had stuff done to my lashes. I have done what young people do when it comes to wandering around with no makeup.’
Back in 2017 Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo was allowed to break the no makeup rule after eagle-eyed viewers had suspected early on she was wearing foundation.
Toff later confirmed producers agreed to allow her to apply a thin layer of foundation each morning to even out her acne-prone skin, which she says has crippled her confidence for years.
Toff, who was also taking medication to help tackle the problem, said she had burst into tears when she realised she’d have to leave her make-up bag behind.
It comes after it was revealed that it was Coleen who will be having an eye kept on her.
Rebekah Vardy will be losing sleep over Coleen’s appearance on I’m a Celebrity – and her Wagatha Christie case lawyers will be carefully watching what her rival says, experts told MailOnline on Monday.
Coleen is rumoured to be earning at least £1.5million for signing up to the ITV primetime hit hosted by Ant and Dec.
The show begins in Australia in two weeks and Coleen’s decision to go has been described as the ‘ultimate revenge’ on her rival because Rebekah was booted out early in the 2017 series.

One source close to Leicester City WAG Rebekah has claimed she now has no interest in the programme any longer – and most certainly won’t be watching.
But one expert told MailOnline today that Rebekah will be ‘glued’ to ITV and watching everything Coleen says about her. Another source has said that Vardy’s legal team will also be watching like hawks.
Brand and culture expert Nick Ede believes that Rebekah would be willing to launch a new lawsuit if Coleen says ‘any nuggets that could potentially defame her’.
But while Coleen knows ITV wants her to ‘spill more beans’ about the Wagatha Christie case and their rivalry, she will have been carefully coached by her lawyers about what she can and can’t say before she enters the jungle, Mr Ede says.
‘100% Rebekah will not be happy that Coleen is going on the show’, he said.
‘She will be keeping her eyes and ears glued to the screen in case she can garner any nuggets from Coleen that could potentially defame her.
‘Rebekah famously went in the jungle herself and for Coleen to be following in her footsteps will add insult to injury.
‘Coleen is a very private person so for her to agree to this will and to appear on the jungle producers will be wanting her to spill more beans about the Wagatha Christie case’.
Mr Ede said that Coleen is going to speak out, but added: ‘She’s a very careful speaker so will be making sure she rehearses any answers to questions camp mates may interrogate her on.
‘She won’t want to face any more issues or court letters from Vardy’s camp’.
Coleen and Tulisa will reportedly join Maura Higgins as well as longtime soap star Alan Halsall and legendary sportsman Barry McGuigan in popular reality show.
Rounding out the lineup are Strictly Come Dancing pro Oti Mabuse, Loose Women star Jane Moore, DJ Dean McCullough, Tulisa, radio presenter Melvin Odoom, Reverend Richard Coles and podcast presenter GK Barry.
When contacted by MailOnline, a representative for ITV said: ‘Any names suggested for I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! are just speculation.’
