A Buckingham Palace maid who was allegedly arrested after a boozy Christmas party bust-up is expected to receive fury from members of the Royal Family, an expert has claimed.
Daily Mail Editor at Large Charlotte Griffiths expressed sympathy for the young Buckingham Palace maid but issued a warning about the consequences of her actions.
The 24-year-old woman, who is reported to be a maid at the Firm’s iconic London address, was detained on Tuesday evening on suspicion of common assault, criminal damage and being drunk and disorderly.
Speaking to GB News, Griffiths said: “My head has been in my hands seeing the Palace maid punch up.

“This poor girl. I mean, she’s 24. She’s probably paid very little. She’s right down the bottom of the pecking order, and she couldn’t resist a few drinks at the Christmas party at Buckingham Palace.
“Then it’s always the after party that gets you, isn’t it? Why did she go to All Bar One? That’s where it all went so wrong.
“Can you imagine waking up in that police cell, knowing that the fury of the Royal Family and Buckingham Palace is on top of you?”
She added: “The statement was quite severe from Buckingham Palace, and it must have just been mortifying for her to wake up in that cell.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS
“I hope she doesn’t lose her job because I think there should be a little bit of understanding in all companies, really.
“I mean, even Buckingham Palace, even the HQ of the Royal Family, if they give away a few free drinks they are running a risk that there might be some disorderly behaviour and she’s obviously very young, so I hope they give her a second chance.”
Witnesses described the staff member as “hysterical” during the incident, which involved smashed glasses and an attempted assault on the bar manager.
“I’ve never seen one person get that crazy during a night out. She was on another level,” one witness told The Sun.

The young maid spent the night in a police cell before being released the following evening with a penalty notice for disorder.
Police were called to the scene at 9.21pm following reports of the disturbance at the popular bar near the royal residence.
The evening began with festive drinks at Buckingham Palace at 4pm, which proceeded without incident.
Around 50 members of royal household staff later made their way to All Bar One on Victoria Street for a pre-arranged after party.
According to witnesses, the housemaid became increasingly disruptive at the Victoria Street bar.
A Buckingham Palace spokesman addressed the incident by saying: “We are aware of an incident outside the workplace involving a number of Household staff who had previously attended an early evening reception at the Palace.”
“While this was an informal social gathering, not an official Palace Christmas party, the facts will be fully investigated, with a robust disciplinary process followed in relation to individual staff and appropriate action taken,” they added.
