Paul Gorton and his partner Kate Waldron have shared the terrifying news that their newborn son has had to be rushed to hospital.
The Traitors star and his influencer partner spotted worrying signs regarding the tot’s breathing over the weekend and instantly sought medical advice.
After rushing to the hospital on Sunday, the new parents explained that their son remained under medical supervision on Tuesday after contracting bronchitis.
Waldron shared details of the heartbreaking ordeal in a series of Instagram posts that Gorton also posted.
The first showed newborn baby Cooper in a hospital cot alongside the caption: “Not how you want your Sunday to go.
“Poor little Cooper had been bunged up for a couple of days but yesterday morning I noticed that his tummy was sucking under his ribs when he was breathing and had developed a couch.

“I called 111 and two ambulances were at our door within 5 minutes!! I had to ride with him in the ambulance with an oxygen masked on him, it was all so scary.
“Turns out he had bronchiolitis! I’m so sad for our little baby, not even 4 weeks old yet!”
Waldron soon followed up with another update: “We had to stay last night and are still here waiting to find out the next steps. Hoping we can go home but equally wanting to stay so he can have the care he needs if needs be.”
Late on Monday evening, Gorton penned his own message to his fans after receiving well wishes from his followers.

The Traitors star penned: “Thanks for the messages everyone, really means a lot. Cooper has bronchitis and is currently on an IV and oxygen getting the best care. Hoping he turns a corner and improves as soon as possible.”
Sadly for the new mum and dad, things hadn’t improved by Tuesday with Waldron revealing: “Thank you all so much for all your kind messages about Cooper. Unfortunately yesterday he got worse and needed to be put on oxygen and an IV drip for fluids.
“I had to stop breastfeeding because having milk in his stomach was making breathing harder for him so he’s been nill by mouth for over 12 hours now and they are going to tube feed him small amounts soon from what I have pumped.
“As you can imagine for a newborn not to have milk he was very unsettled so we gave him a dummy to finally get him to sleep and since then he has been flat out.
“Just not how you expect to see a baby so young, it’s so, so heartbreaking to see, and to not even be able to feed and comfort my own baby is just horrible.”
Baby Cooper’s hospital dash comes just four weeks after Gorton announced his birth on November 21.
According to the NHS, Bronchitis is “inflammation of the airways in the lungs that is usually caused by an infection”
The NHS says it can take three weeks for the infection to subside.
However, it adds: “Some people have long-term inflammation of the airways in the lungs called chronic bronchitis. This is known as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).”
