Former Take That star Gary Barlow and his son Dan sent social media users into a frenzy recently after a photo demonstrated their drastic height difference.
Dan, 24, who stands at 6 foot 6, was pictured with singer dad Barlow, 53, mum Dawn, 54 and sister Daisy, 13. In the snap, Dan towered over his family to such an extent that the image went viral, with some hilarious memes doing the rounds on social media.
Barlow, with a height of 5 foot 8, appears significantly small in comparison with his oldest son, with the rest of the family closer to Barlow’s height.
Barlow’s oldest daughter, Emily, 22 wasn’t in the photo that sparked the strong reaction.
X was recently rife with jokey images about Dan’s “giant” appearance, with most fans finding the memes hilarious.
Thankfully, it seems both Barlow and his son have also taken the response in good humour.
Gary Barlow’s family photo sent social media into a frenzy
Barlow’s songwriter friend Eliot Kennedy, who has known the Back For Good hit-maker for decades, has spoken out about the father and son’s reaction to their unexpected viral fame.
“Gaz has a great sense of humour,” he commented. Dan is the same height as my son Jack, 23, and they went to the same nursery.
“We laugh and say, ‘What did they feed them there?'”
Speaking to The Mirror, he concluded: “Dan is a great kid and he’ll have taken it all in good humour too.”

Among the images circulating online recently are snaps of tiny beer glasses captioned: “Gary Barlow’s son holding a pint of Guinness”.
Another depicts Barlow standing in a flurry of confetti next to text reading: “Gary Barlow standing next to his son eating a croissant.”
Barlow and Kennedy are set to appear together on a new ITV show this week, Gary Barlow’s Wine Tour: South Africa.
The two hour-long episodes will see the pair travel around South Africa sampling wine and food.
“It was two mates getting together and having fun. It was a blast to do and I hope viewers can see the incredible friendship we share,” Kennedy told the publication.
While the singer himself and his son haven’t directly addressed the countless memes, former footballer Ian Wright couldn’t contain how entertaining he found the initial family photo.

Appearing recently on the Stick to Football podcast, he asked Roy Keane: “Have you seen the size of his son?”
Keane observed the image before Wright added: “Look at the size of him!”
The Arsenal icon then turned to Jill Scott, who was also appearing on the podcast.
He asked the Lionesses legend: “Have you seen the size of Gary Barlow’s son? Let me show you.”
