Jennifer Lopez has been dragged into the Jay-Z scandal after she was caught on camera fighting with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs on the same night that both men now stand accused of raping a 13-year-old girl.
Jay-Z, 55, whose real name is Shawn Carter, was named Sunday in an amended lawsuit accusing the rappers of taking part in the alleged assault of the minor at an afterparty for the MTV VMAs in New York City in 2000.
According to the suit, a third celebrity – a woman – was present in the room and watched as the men took turns with their victim.
Recently unearthed pictures, obtained by DailyMail.com, show J Lo, 55, locked in a heated argument with Combs that very night.
There is no suggestion that J Lo is the mystery celebrity. She is also not named in the lawsuit.
But now, with the naming of Jay-Z, the eyebrow-raising altercation and the events of that sordid evening have been thrust firmly back into the spotlight.
J Lo dated Combs from 1999 to 2001 in a relationship which continues to cast a long shadow over the star to this day.

The lawsuit, in which the victim is identified only as Jane Doe, was originally filed in October, but an amended complaint filed Sunday has now named Jay-Z as the second previously anonymous celebrity to have allegedly raped her while she was drugged, alone and intoxicated.
According to the lawsuit, obtained by DailyMail.com: ‘Defendant Sean Combs…along with his lifetime friend and collaborator Shawn Carter, drugged and raped a thirteen-year-old at an afterparty following 2000 Video Music Awards.
‘Another celebrity stood by and watched as Combs and Carter took turns assaulting the minor.’
That third celebrity has not been named, but is identified as a female whom the victim immediately recognized.
At the time of the assault, which the suit states took place on or around September 7, 2000, the victim had a friend drive her to Radio City Music Hall so she could try to attend the awards ceremony, for which she did not have a ticket.
She watched the show outside on a jumbotron before approaching several limousine drivers in hopes of talking her way into the event or an afterparty.
Jay-Z, 55, was also at the afterparty where Diddy and J Lo had their verbal argument. He was named on Sunday in an amended lawsuit that accused Diddy and him of raping a 13-year-old girl on the same night as this party
As they arrived att the after-party, Diddy and J Lo appeared close, but as the evening wore on they started fighting
The 13-year-old girl was handed a reddish-yellow drink at Diddy’s after party. After sipping it, she immediately felt ill, taking refuge in an unlocked bedroom, before Jay-Z, Diddy and a third unnamed female celebrity entered the room where the alleged rape took place
After throwing the girl against a wall and again on to the bed, she was allegedly raped first by Jay-Z and then by Combs while the female celebrity watched
One chauffeur who was driving Combs and others to the afterparty agreed to come back to take her to the afterparty noting that she ‘fit what Diddy was looking for’.
Once at the party, the girl was asked to sign a document – a copy of which she did not receive – before heading into mingle with the starry crowd.
After taking a few sips of a reddish-yellow drink the girl reportedly felt ‘woozy and lightheaded, making her need to lie down.’
Looking for a place to rest, she found her way into what appeared to be an empty bedroom and did not lock the door.
Moments later ‘Combs entered the room, along with defendant Carter and a female celebrity. Plaintiff immediately recognized all three celebrities’.
Combs allegedly aggressively approached the girl, ‘with a crazed look in his eyes, grabbed her and said, ‘You ready to party!’ the lawsuit continues.
Jay-Z is vehemently denying the accusations and described the allegations as ‘so heinous in nature’ that he ‘implored’ lawyer Tony Buzbee to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one
Buzbee is the Texas-based lawyer representing more than one hundred of Combs’s alleged victims and was named in Jay-Z’s response to the allegations
After throwing her against a wall and again on to the bed, she was allegedly raped first by Jay-Z and then by Combs, while the female celebrity watched.
Jay-Z issued a lengthy statement to DailyMail.com Sunday in which he claimed that, before the lawsuit was refiled with his name, his lawyers had received ‘a blackmail attempt, called a demand letter from a “lawyer” named Tony Buzbee’.
Buzbee is the Texas-based lawyer representing more than one hundred of Combs’s alleged victims.
According to Jay-Z, Buzbee had calculated that ‘the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle’.
He stated: ‘No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a VERY public fashion. So no, I will not give you ONE RED PENNY!!’
The rapper continued, describing the allegations as ‘so heinous in nature’ that he ‘implored’ Buzbee to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one. ‘Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree?’
Jay-Z issued a lengthy statement to DailyMail.com Sunday in which he claimed that, before the lawsuit was refiled with his name, his lawyers had received ‘a blackmail attempt, called a demand letter’ from Buzbee
‘These victims,’ he claimed, ‘would deserve real justice if that were the case.’
Blasting Buzbee as a man who has ‘neither honor nor dignity’ Jay-Z directed his statement to the attorney saying, ‘You have made a terrible error in judgement thinking that all ‘celebrities’ are the same. I’m not from your world. I’m a young man who made it out of the projects of Brooklyn.
‘We don’t play these types of games. We have a very strict codes and honor. We protect children, you seem to exploit people for personal gain.
‘Only your network of conspiracy theorists, fake psychics, will believe the idiotic claims you have levied against me that, if not for the seriousness surrounding harm to kids, would be laughable.’
