Actress Shobna Gulati has been made a Member of the Order of the British Empire by Princess Anne at Buckingham Palace.
The former Coronation Stress actress, 58, who famously played Sunita Alahan, received the honour at an Investiture ceremony in London on Wednesday.
Shobna, who was made an MBE for services to the cultural industries, looked glamorous for the momentous day.
She looked chic in a dark blue satin capped sleeve midi-dress, featuring a cowl-neck bodice and asymmetric pleated skirt.
Shobna paired the gown with black suede heeled boots and a red and navy fedora hat.
She accessorised with a huge pair of statement drop earrings, which featured a huge sapphire gem surrounded by diamonds.

Shobna recently detailed she has been feeling ‘rejected’ and is questioning her career choice after losing out on another audition in an emotional Instagram post.
She has appeared to have had some trouble getting cast for roles and acting jobs.
Updating her followers, Shobna penned: ‘The face of rejection from something I didn’t even know I wanted to do in the first place.
‘Honestly why on earth did I pick this career sometimes I really don’t know anyway just so you it cold out there (sic)’
Her post comes after she revealed that since allowing her long tresses to grow out grey, after previously dying her hair brunette for years, she is now feeling more ‘comfortable’.
The soap star penned: ‘Wiser? Definitely older! and very silver – growing greysfully.
‘So many said I should dye it back to the dark brown hair I had, “I look old , why am I succumbing to being an old lady, it’s not attractive etc etc”.
‘But times a changing innit and I’m so happy with what’s transpired and I’m so comfortable now.

‘I dunno but I reckon my head feels better without the 2 weekly roots dye … and that is positive no harsh chemicals no colour protecting shampoo just like it was when I was younger … anyway I thought I’d share’.
Despite the star saying fans had been negative about her new do, several took to the comments of her latest post to say she looked ‘gorgeous’ and they ‘wished they had the guts to do it too’.
She gushed that she is ‘so happy’ with her new look after some fans told her to ‘dye it back’ to brunette.

In 2021, Shobna spoke to Platinum magazine about her age and looking older, explaining: ‘I don’t want to have to look a certain way, or how people perceive I ought to look.
‘I think having my grey hair is deeply empowering because when people say to me, “Oh, you don’t look your age,” I can say, “Well, I am.”
She went on: ‘Ours is a youth-obsessed society, but the good news is that I’ve watched a lot of European thrillers and dramas during lockdown and it seems that being female of a certain age and experience is represented on screen.
‘Whatever you look like is OK; faces move and grey hair is present, both of which I’ve allowed myself to do.’
The actress played Sunita Alahan in Corrie between 2001 and 2006, returning to the popular role between 2009 and 2013.
In 2019, she took on the role of Ray in the West End production of Everybody’s Taking About Jamie and also reprised the role for the movie adaptation.
Shobna reprised her role in Everybody’s Talking About Jamie for the 2023-2024 UK and Ireland Tour.
