Actress Emily Atack has wed her long-term partner Dr Alistair Garner in an intimate ceremony surrounded by their nearest and dearest.
The Inbetweeners and Rivals star, 36, revealed the happy news on Instagram this afternoon, posting a series of photographs from Saturday’s celebration.
“Yesterday we officially got married among close family and friends,” she wrote. “It was absolutely perfect.”
Ms Atack hinted that the weekend nuptials were just the beginning, adding: “I can’t believe we get to do all that again in a few weeks time.
“Christ, we have fun don’t we @dralistairgarner,” she signed off.
The couple, who welcomed son Barney James Garner in June 2024, announced their engagement in July last year. Mr Garner is a scientist and doctor.
Among the images shared with her followers, one captured the newlyweds emerging from the church as guests showered them with confetti.
Ms Atack looked striking in a plunging white bridal gown paired with a traditional veil, cutting what was described as an elegant, old Hollywood-inspired figure.

Another photograph showed the pair in a more relaxed moment, holding glasses of wine and laughing together as they posed beside a classic car.
A final snap depicted the couple sharing a kiss.
Fans and celebrity friends quickly flooded the comments section with congratulations. “Congratulations you two this is beautiful,” Strictly’s Vicky Pattison penned, while BGT judge Amanda Holden weighed in: “Fantastic news!!”
“Love you both so much,” TV presenter Fearne Cotton said, while former Loose Women panellist Denise Welch typed: “How lovely!!! So happy for you.”

“Just gorgeous!! Massive congratulations!!” broadcaster Sair Khan weighed in, as did EastEnders icon Louisa Lytton who wrote: “Congratulations BEAUTIFUL BEING.” (sic)
The pair first met as young children and have known each other since Mr Atack was around five years old. They reconnected as adults in 2022, going public with their romance in September 2023.
Their relationship prompted speculation about family ties, with Ms Atack later addressing what she called “hurtful” allegations. “There were headlines saying that I was dating my cousin, which is very damaging, very awful. We’re not related in any way,” she told The Guardian in 2024.
The connection stems from Ms Atack’s mother, actress Kate Robbins, being the sister of Mr Garner’s stepmother, Jane Garner. This made them step-cousins with no blood relation.

“We reconnected as adults, but kind of going… we’ve got such a connection and it’s a bit confusing and a bit odd, but we really fancy each other,” Ms Atack explained on the How to Fail podcast.
The couple are planning a second celebration in Spain in the coming weeks.
Speaking to Luxury London Magazine, she had teased a September wedding, saying: “I’ve very much enjoyed the planning process. Choosing napkins and stuff.”
The actress also revealed on The Romesh Ranganathan Show podcast that children would not be welcome at the celebrations.
“We’re being kind to our friends and making sure that people don’t have to worry too much about paying for lots of things, but we have said no kids at the wedding,” she explained, adding that she was “surprised by how many people are happy about that.”
