Cher then joked that she was glad to get any work at all now at the age of 76 and added: ‘I’m older than dirt now, OK? I’m the oldest person I meet in almost every room unless I’m in an old folks’ home.’
She went on to say that she has now started dishing out advice to younger women and encourages them to ‘get over’ themselves and embrace life before revealing she would give anything to be 60 again.
Cher joked that she doesn’t care how old anyone is, they should always feel beautiful before referring to herself as a ‘hottie’.
The popstar confessed that she has struggled to adapt to aging and said she has always felt how she’s felt and doesn’t know how to change that despite nearing 80 years old.
She continued she enjoys being with younger people because she isn’t ready yet to embrace her age.
She said: ‘I like young people because a lot of my friends don’t want to have that much fun.
‘They can just go off and be old fogies.’
Cher’s admission comes after her family raised concerns about her toyboy lover.
The singer’s close ones are said to be at a loss over what to do about her relationship with Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards, with insiders claiming that their repeated warnings have fallen on deaf ears.

The Believe singer has been dating the music executive, 38, for the the past two years, but her loved ones have grown increasingly concerned about the romance.
A source close to Cher’s son Chaz Bono, 55, has claimed that the award-winning artist is blind to AE’s ‘true intentions’ despite him displaying ‘one red flag after another.’
They added that fears were exacerbated after Cher revealed back in May that she is collaborating with AE on an album.
‘Cher’s family has given up on trying to convince her that Alexander does not have her best interests in mind,’ an insider told DailyMail.com exclusively.
‘She claimed that he was not after her money but now he is literally getting paid an enormous amount of money for this new album and she is giving him creative control of it.’
The source added that further panic about the relationship arose when Cher revealed she was allegedly taking steps to amend her will to include AE.
They continued: ‘She has not yet done this but is strongly considering it because she claims he is the love of her life.
‘And, if her album is the last album she does it will undoubtedly be a massive success.
‘When she passes, this gives AE all of the profits for it and he is set for life. Huge red flag.’
