Cate Blanchett chose her son as her date to The 2024 Albies, hosted by The Clooney Foundation for Justice, in New York on Thursday evening.
The actress, 55, walked hand in hand with her eldest son Dashiell, 22, as the pair dressed up for the evening of glamour.
The Australian star looked sensational as she opted for a black sequined floaty top which she paired with black leather trousers.
Completing her look with a pair of little black heels and small clutch bag, she added a smattering of pale pink lipstick as she beamed beside her son.
The pair’s rare appearance comes amid speculation Cate and her husband Andrew Upton called it quits on their marriage earlier this year.

Cate, 55, and her husband Andrew Upton welcomed Dash, their first child, in December 2001 after the couple tied the knot in 1997.
The pair are also parents to sons Roman Robert, 20 and Ignatius Martin, 16 and daughter Edith Vivian Patricia, aged nine.
Cate and Dashiell were seen together earlier this summer after he joined his mother at Cannes Festival back in May.
Dashiell appears keen to follow in his mother’s footsteps into show business but as a filmmaker behind the camera.
The oldest son of the Oscar winner scored a role on the crew of the Ryan Gosling action film The Fall Guy as an assistant in the camera department after completing film school in 2022.
Meanwhile rumours of marriage trouble for Cate and her husband swirled when the star was spotted on several occasions without her wedding ring.
Cate left fans puzzled after stepping out at the 2024 BAFTA Film Awards without her ring.
She stunned at the British film industry event in a maroon Louis Vuitton gown and striking body chain combo.

However, rather than wearing her white gold and diamond wedding sparkler, the Blue Jasmine star sported a large emerald cocktail ring.
Meanwhile her husband didn’t attend the event.
Curiously, Cate was also spotted ring-free in February, when she attended an event in New York at the Museum of Modern Art on February 6.
Cate made no attempt at hiding her bare wedding finger as she smiled for photos outside the exclusive event.
In October 2023, Cate was once again seen without her wedding ring as she sat front row at the Stella McCartney runway show during Paris Fashion Week.
However Cate appeared to shrug off rumours of the split back in March after the couple attended a special event launching her role as creative director of alcohol brand Toku Saké.
Like his wife Cate, Andrew is from Australia and was born and raised in Sydney, and attended the University of Sydney, before going on to become a screenwriter, playwright and director.
