Supermodel Cara Delevingne has launched a fierce response to Donald Trump’s election victory, urging her friends and followers to make the next “four years hell” for Republicans.
The 32-year-old British model, who resides part-time in Los Angeles, led a group of UK celebrities sharing their devastated reactions to Trump’s return to the White House.
In a bold message posted to her Instagram Stories, Delevingne called for resistance against those she branded as “fascists, misogynists, bigots and liars.”
The outspoken model’s reaction came as Trump secured a historic win in the 2024 US presidential election, defeating Democrat candidate Kamala Harris.
Delevingne’s impassioned response echoed the sentiments of several British stars who expressed their dismay at the controversial former president’s return to power, including Carol Vorderman, Jason Manford and Susie Dent.
The defiant social media post, which Delevingne reposted from a fellow model’s account, read: “A message to my friends: Trump will win the White House. The GOP has control of the Senate.

“This is gutting yes, but freeing too. We get to make every day over the next four years hell for fascists, misogynists, bigots and liars.”
The model continued with a call for creative resistance: “This is not the time to shrink. Nor the time to despair. This is the time for that classic Disney, larger than life, kinda gay, impossibly well dressed, unbelievably cool villainy.”
The rallying cry concluded: “That punk rock, black parade guerrilla s***. This is our villain era.
“Make art. F*** s*** up. Build power. They are about to learn the hardest thing about gaining power is keeping it.”
While Delevingne may have been hoping for followers to echo her sentiment, several slammed the actress and the original poster for the strongly-worded messaging.
“What a terrible message. This isn’t the way,” one fan replied before a second concurred: “Grow up, be part of the solution not the problem.”
“YOU condone violence because you lost?” a third queried before a fourth weighed in: “What an awful, childish take and shame on @caradelevingne for sharing.”
However, some did side with the model, including one supporter who penned: “I’m tired. Exhausted. But appreciate your optimism. Maybe in a few days I will have your optimism. Will save this post to come back later to and try to feel inspired in the next coming days.” (sic)
The post reflected Delevingne’s outspoken stance against Trump’s politics, with the model using her significant social media platform to voice her opposition.
Trump pulled off an extraordinary political comeback by winning the 2024 US presidential election, becoming only the second president in history to secure a non-consecutive second term.
The 78-year-old Republican leader achieved this remarkable feat despite being the first US President ever to have been found guilty at a criminal trial.
Trump faces four criminal cases, including a conviction on 34 counts of felony fraud in Manhattan related to falsifying business records.

The former president took the stage in the early hours of Wednesday morning to declare victory, stating: “We made history for a reason tonight, and the reason is that we overcame obstacles that nobody thought possible.”
His defeat of Vice President Harris marks a stunning return for the twice-impeached president, who left office in 2021 following claims he had incited an assault on the US Capitol building.
The Republican Party also secured control of the Senate, strengthening Trump’s position as he prepares to return to the White House.
While the likes of Dent, Delevingne, Manford and Vorderman pulled no punches with their verdict on the result, one man who had to distance himself from perceived criticism of Trump was Jeremy Clarkson.
The Clarkson’s Farm star had to deny he burnt an effigy of Trump during Tuesday evening’s bonfire night celebrations at his pub in the Cotswolds.
Clarkson stopped short of revealing whether or not he was pleased with Trump’s victory but instead branded the suggestion he was burning a Trump effigy as “utter horse s***”.
