Castleford Tigers have signed Salford Red Devils prop Brad Singleton for an undisclosed fee on a deal until the end of next season.
The 32-year-old previously played with Tigers head coach Danny McGuire when the pair were at Leeds Rhinos.
Singleton is the latest player to leave the financially-troubled Red Devils, who are without a Super League win this season, after half-back Marc Sneyd joined Warrington last week.
“It is great to bring a player of Brad’s quality and experience into the squad,” McGuire told the club website.
“Not only will he be an asset for us on the field, but our young forwards at the club can learn a lot from him.
“As a Grand Final winner and a player with over 200 appearances at the top level, we are delighted to have him on board.”
Paul Rowley’s Salford side have lost all four Super League games in 2025 after starting the season under a sustainability cap which meant they could not field their strongest side.
Although this was lifted after week one and the proposed takeover by an investment group led by Swiss banker Dario Berta is progressing, a delay in funds being transferred led to wages for February being held up and the cap being reintroduced.
“With the sustainability cap, I couldn’t back involved in the team, so this move will get me back focused on playing my best rugby,” Singleton told the Salford website., external
“It’s no secret it’s a turbulent time for the club at the moment and this move puts family first. I hope the situation is sorted soon for everybody involved.”
He could make his debut for Cas in Saturday’s home game against Catalans Dragons.
