A 16-year-old boy has died after being hit by a car.
He was struck by a Seat Ibiza while walking across Kingsway, in Burnage, Manchester at about 18:40 GMT on Friday, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said.
He suffered serious injuries and died a short time later in hospital.
An 18-year-old man was arrested following the crash and has since been released on bail while inquiries were ongoing, GMP said.
The has contacted the force to confirm what the 18-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of.
Officers have also appealed for anyone with information on the incident or with CCTV or dashcam to come forward.
