Azealia Banks says she is now voting for Democrat Kamala Harris over Republican Donald Trump in Tuesday’s U.S. presidential election, after previously saying she was voting for Trump.
The 33-year-old musical artist cited Trump’s alliance with tech billionaire Elon Musk as a key factor in her decision to switch her vote in a series of lengthy tweets Monday.
‘I really think keeping Elon Musk away from any type of political power in the USA is tantamount to any issue on the table here,’ the New York City native said. ‘You have to be a complete idiot to think that dirtbag cares about anyone or anything other than himself.’
Banks said she believes Musk has ‘already been given way too much tax payer money’ and ‘allowing him to ascend to any position of political authority is very f***ing dangerous.’
She took a number of shots at Musk’s ethics and business tactics, adding that ‘one does not become the richest man in the world because of honesty and good character.’

Banks did not give a glowing endorsement of Harris, calling the vice president ‘stupid and incoherent’ and describing her running mate Tim Walz as ‘trash.’
Banks said she was reluctantly endorsing Harris ‘despite the fact that [she] is the only Democratic Nominee to not have actively [campaigned] in a Primary.’
Banks described Harris’s path to the Democratic presidential nomination ‘the most undemocratic s*** ever,’ adding that it ‘really says alot about her supporters lack of commonsense.’
Banks, who has been outspoken about her disdain for the Tesla founder in the past, again cited Musk in her conclusion, saying that she ‘will be Voting For Kamala Harris tomorrow’ as Musk ‘belongs no where near American Politics.’
Banks in November of 2023 said she was planning to vote for Trump, telling The Standard that she felt ‘way safer’ where ‘everyone carries a gun.’
Banks Monday was also critical of Trump’s affiliation with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who she called a ‘zombie a**,’ adding that his potential position as ‘health minister’ was ‘gross and stupid AF.’
Banks also said Trump had prodded China too much, as America ‘is not going to … become the self sufficient domestic manufacturing powerhouse he dreams of;’ and that he had been ‘DELUSIONAL’ in his stated immigration ambitions.
She said that while ‘we are on the precipice of two major wars with four nuclear powers involved. USA, Iran, Israel and Russia … the everyday American is too sick/obese/distracted/transgendered to fight a war and win.’

Banks advised Harris to ‘actually pay attention and get caught up to speed’ when elected.
‘Please don’t get caught slippin’ sis,’ she said. ‘Make Us Proud. REVISE THAT WEAK A** ECONOMIC PLAN for Black men and Direct it Towards Black Women, we are the social cultural and economic backbone of Black American society and if anyone needs unforgivable loans and free weed to cope with the bulls***…. it’s us.’
She added, ‘And please, in 2028 get some *real* Black female intellects to campaign with you. the Meg the Stallion and Cardi B endorsements were f***ing horrible. Don’t ever [embarrass] us like that again sis. May The Force Be With You, niece.’
