GB News star Andrew Pierce has warned Sir Keir Starmer that his political future could be in peril after he “threw Rachel Reeves under a bus”.
The Prime Minister surprised many political observers yesterday by shaking up his closest circle.
He poached Darren Jones from the Treasury and handed a former Deputy Governor of the Bank of England, Baroness Minouche Shafik, a role as his economic adviser.
The moves signal a shift towards the Prime Minister taking on a more hands-on approach to dealing with economic matters.

According to Andrew, it is a move that undermines his Chancellor, who is under pressure after a series of wildly unpopular decisions like slashing the Winter Fuel Allowance — a move the Government has since announced a major U-turn on.
“This is very curious. The Sunday papers were briefed there would be no reshuffle of junior ministers,” he said.

“He has thrown her under a political bus.”
Former Tory MP and GB News host Miriam Cates said the precedent is “very worrying” given similar cases in the past did not end well for the individual in power.
“Why is he bringing in people who are, in my view, responsible for the mess we are in?” she asked.
Andrew continued: “We have a Budget in November, and with Starmer bringing in these people, he won’t be able to blame Rachel Reeves if it goes wrong.

Miriam said that from the outside, the Chancellor appears to be “doomed” in a damning verdict.
A Downing Street spokesman said these backroom moves would “support the Government to go further and faster in driving economic growth and raising living standards for all”.
The Conservative Party were withering in their analysis of the rejig, with party Chairman Kevin Hollinrake likening the changes to “firefighters arguing about the hose whilst the house burns down”.
The changes come after a difficult summer for the Government with a record-breaking number of small boat arrivals.
Home Secretary Yvette Cooper yesterday announced that a scheme allowing refugees to bring family members to the UK would be suspended.
Ms Cooper said the move, which comes into force this week, would mean refugees face similar restrictions to other migrants hoping to bring family to join them in the UK.
She announced the change on the day Parliament returned after a summer of turmoil with protests outside asylum hotels and continued small boat crossings.
Ms Cooper said the rules “were designed many years ago to help families separated by war, conflict and persecution” but now bear a stark contrast to the UK’s neighbours, meaning fresh restrictions must be put in place.
