A serving Metropolitan Police officer at Charing Cross station has been arrested following a bombshell BBC Panorama documentary.
The officer, a Sergeant attached to the Central West Basic Command Unit, was arrested by the Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards on the evening of Thursday, October 2.
The footage, gathered undercover for a BBC Panorama documentary, appears to show some officers at a central London police station call for immigrants to be shot and brag about using violence against suspects.
The Met Police has confirmed the arrest is related to information disclosed in the BBC Panorama programme.
