Channel Seven has offered fans a holiday treat after announcing that their Carols in the Domain will be broadcast live from Sydney on Saturday, December 21.
The decision comes after the network received flak from fans over the decision to air a pre-recorded version of the event in past years.
The Wiggles will be back on the Carols in the Domain stage again this year alongside Samantha Jade and pop singer Budjerah and entertainer Rhonda Burchmore.
Fans can also look forward to seeing Kym Johnson of Dancing With The Stars fame who will be making her first appearance at Christmas time event.
Also appearing will be ARIA award winner Conrad Sewell, Australia’s Got Talent winner Mark Vincent and Back to the Rafters star Hugh Sheridan.
Meanwhile, Yahoo Lifestyle reported on Saturday that while no host has been confirmed Sunrise stars Natalie Barr and Matt ‘Shirvo’ Shirvington will likely be first in line for the gig.

The Brekkie Central team of Barr and Shirvington helmed the event in 2023, which drew more than 2 million viewers and also proved to be a hit with the crowd.
Other features included in the live show will be ‘snowfall’ and a fireworks display.
Seven has been presenting the charity event since 1983.
It comes after Seven disappointed viewers in 2022 after it held back a pre-recorded version of the show a week before putting it to air on December 23.
Angry fans of the event posted to X to vent their frustrations at the network over the decision.
‘Can @Channel7 explain why they’re delaying the broadcast of Carols in the Domain until Friday? Rank stupidity’ wrote one person.
Another said: ‘I got so excited thinking I would have a cosy night with the Carols in the Domain on TV only to read they aren’t being shown on TV till the 23rd’.
‘Was wondering about Carols in the Domain this year, knew it was on tonight, but no telecast on 7’ complained someone else.

‘It was so perfectly spaced out showing it on TV the same night it’s on and then having the candlelight ones on Xmas eve. I’m so sad now, let me feel festive damn it’ someone else agreed.
‘But never fear… according to the official website there will be a ‘live broadcast’ of tonight’s event on TV next weekend. That’s not how live broadcasts work, gang’.
Someone else said: ‘I can’t understand why Channel 7 can’t show Carols in the Domain LIVE and TONIGHT. The Schools Spectaculars in NSW and VIC can wait another day’.
‘Just found out carols in the domain isn’t going to be broadcast live again. Pretty disgusting @Channel7’ one more wrote.
Another viewer pondered: ‘Probably because the swimming is on, though I don’t know anyone watching it’.
‘I used to love that they’d show it on the Saturday before Christmas and Carols by Candlelight on Christmas Eve. Now they smash them together and it’s too much’ another person complained.
